Annual Boiler Service And Safety Check
To ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of your boiler,it is recommended that it is serviced and checked at regular intervals.
The frequency of servicing will depend upon the particular installation
conditions and usage, but in general once per year should be adequate.
The service consists of:
Removal and cleaning of main burner
assembly and pilot burner assembly where appropriate.
Checking correct operation of gas governor, where appropriate.
Checking main heat exchanger flueways and cleaning if necessary.
Checking flue duct and terminal
Checking expansion vessel
Checking operation of diaphragm sections and replace if necessary
Cleaning of lint arrestor, where appropriate.
Re-pressurise and purge air from appliance where necessary.
Check and adjust the gas rate if necessary.
Check overall appliance function.
Carry out mandatory gas safety checks.
Check appliance for gas soundness.
Check water flow rate and temperature rise
The service package includes sundries such as special lubricants, expansion vessel refill and washers, etc.
The above procedures are not applicable to all appliances.
